We all have someone we wish we could sit down with one last time.
To ask about their childhood, how they met the love of their life, or the career that made them who they are.
Too often, we realize the value of these stories only after they can no longer be told. Legacy films ensure that your family’s history, your parent's or grandparent's voice, and your mentors wisdom are preserved exactly as they are today.
No more "I wish I had asked."
Family Legacy Stories
Capturing the voices, stories, and lessons of the people you love, right from the comfort of home.
-
Archival Interviews: A focused, professionally recorded conversation designed to be a lasting record of a person’s voice, personality, and primary life stories.
-
Life Chapter Films: A thoughtfully edited story organized into meaningful segments, like childhood, career, or life lessons, enhanced with music, titles, and digitized family photos.
-
Full Documentary Legacy Films: My most comprehensive storytelling experience. This includes a deep-dive interview plus "cinematic portraits" of your loved one looking through heirlooms or family albums to create a true documentary-style narrative.
-
Heritage Add-Ons: Specialized options like "Record a Family Recipe" sessions, where I film the "secret" cooking process alongside the story of where it came from.
Business & Career Legacy Stories
Preserving institutional knowledge and honoring the impact of a life’s work.
-
Institutional Knowledge Interviews: A professional record of a leader’s or employee’s career milestones, accomplishments, and the hard-won lessons they’ve learned over the years.
-
Colleague Tribute Films: A warm, documentary-style gift where coworkers share favorite memories and stories of how a person shaped the workplace. Perfect for retirements or anniversaries.
-
Career Retrospective Films: A complete narrative of a professional journey, combining a main interview with colleague messages, "day-in-the-life" footage at the office, and archival company photos.
-
Digital Preservation: All legacy projects include archival scanning and light restoration of physical photos to ensure your organization’s history is preserved for the next generation.
How It Works
Step 1:
The Planning Session
We'll hop on a video call (or phone call if you'd prefer) with you and/or your family.
I'll help you identify the specific "Life Chapters" you want to cover.
If your package includes photos, I'll suggest the types of images that best support the stories you plan to tell.
Step 2:
The Interview Day
I'll come to your location and set up in whichever room you feel most comfortable.
There is nothing to memorize. I'll lead you in a guided conversation that allows your stories to come out naturally.
I work at your speed. If you need to pause for a break or a glass of water, we stop the clock.
Step 3:
The Edit & Delivery
After our interview, I'll take it from there! I'll edit based off your chosen package.
Within 4-6 weeks, your video is ready! You’ll receive a private link to watch the video and request any minor adjustments.
Once approved, you'll get a high-quality digital version that is easy to share with family across the country.
