Midsouth Story Co. works with families, organizations, nonprofits, and small businesses to tell stories that matter.

The work is rooted in documentary storytelling and shaped by life and culture in the Midsouth. It focuses on real people, real places, and stories that deserve care and attention. Every project is approached thoughtfully, with respect for the people trusting me to tell their story.

I operate primarily as a solo business, which keeps the process simple and accessible while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Whether I’m documenting a legacy, a nonprofit, or a small business, the goal is always the same: to create something meaningful, lasting, and true to the people at the center of it.

My Story

In 2015, I made a decision that changed the direction of my life. I left a full-time IT job in Nashville, moved back in with my parents in Selmer, Tennessee for the first time since I was 18, and started graduate school at the University of Memphis to study documentary filmmaking.

Since then, I’ve worked as a production assistant on films and TV shows. I’ve produced projects across the US with talented crews, seen work I helped create air on TV, and been co-nominated for two Regional Mid-South Emmys. Most importantly, while working with the incredible team at Forever Ready Productions, I’ve seen how storytelling can help nonprofits raise money, build trust, and create real impact in their communities.

In 2026, I’m making the leap again by starting my own solo video storytelling business, focused primarily on the rural Mid-South. I grew up in small towns across Tennessee and western North Carolina, and I want to help share the stories of from places like the ones that I grew up in.
